I have two main deployment goals to begin working towards:
1.Getting my Childbirth Educator certification.
2.Getting my Lactation Consultant certification.
2.Getting my Lactation Consultant certification.
I fully realize that these two goals could very well take a couple of years to accomplish, but it is something that I would like to begin working towards. Cayleigh-Grace is not going to be home with me forever, she will be starting school the year we move and I would like to be prepared to get a job while the she and the boys are in school.
Then there are the many smaller and less life changing goals that I hope to accomplish.
- complete the many quilts that I have in various stages of completion.
- Make the quilts that I have had the material to make for the past couple of years.
- Go to the Gym on an almost daily basis.
- Join a Pilates, and an Ultimate Ab class.
- Work on cardio and strength training big time.
- Work on creating a nice garden area around the house and in the back yard.
- Read at least 52 books while KS is gone. (So far I have already read 4) Twilight, New Moon, Eclipse, and Breaking Dawn.
- Purchase Cayleigh-Grace's new dresser as well as a headboard or full bed frame for KS and I's bed.
- Work on my photography.
- Research becoming a doula.
- Sell our house back home.
Knowing me I will be continuously adding to this list as the time goes on, but this is a good starting point. I am actually looking forward to going through this list month by month to see how it will grow and to watch myself mark things off bit by bit.

This seems like a fabulous list. Challenging, yet doable. I can't wait to hear more!
Those are some awesome goals. Have you tried Zumba? That completely tests my breathing to the point where I think Im going to die but yet I still keeping going back for more.
Hi, I'm stopping by to catch up on what you've been doing. Congrats on getting Carleigh-Grace "paci-free"! Your list sounds good, best wishes with getting things checked off :)
I think being a Childbirth educator would be right up my alley! And I have been searching for a pilates class in my area for quite some time...none of them fit with my crazy schedule and I don't think I'm disciplined enough to force myself to do it at home...at least in the beginning.
Those are excellent goals!! Sometimes the gym on post will have a personal trainer you can hire for so many weeks. I'm thinking about hiring one when I get back to Germany to whip my booty in shape before summer ;)
What a great list! I was a Doula before I had kids and would like to go back to it someday. I plan to read a lot during our deployment too.
Deployment goals make life easier... and the deployment manageable. I wrote my post on the same thing this morning... too funny! I guess great minds think alike!
Good luck, I know you will complete them!
Those are great goals!! Good luck to you! I know I sound like a skipping record player...but are you on Goodreads? It will help you keep track of your books and even has a place where you put in your goal for the year and it keeps track of it for you!
That definitely sounds like a lot to keep you busy! I'm impressed!
