Summer's end

As many of you have noticed I took the summer off from blogging. With the kids home I just couldn't bring myself to blog, so I decided to just take the summer off. It has been a good summer, but it has also been a very rough summer. The boys will be starting school in the next few weeks, Cayleigh-Grace will be starting dance lessons and homework will be back into full swing. The latter of which I am not looking forward to but it comes with the territory. With school back in I will be back to regular blogging as well as a recap of our summer. We had some pretty big things go on these past three months; the boys played T-ball for the first time and I my sister went from being a Miss to a Mrs. I am looking forward to getting back into our school time routine and I think deep down the boys are too. Talk to you all soon!

February has been a crazy month for us, and blogging has been the absolute last thing on my mind. It had got to that point where I would sit down to blog and it would feel like shoveling 6 feet of snow. So, in light of that I decided to take a bloggy break. Except for the random Music Sunday posts that were already previously scheduled, but hopefully I will be able to get back into the swing of things now. While being a crazy busy month February was also a good month. We celebrated having completed one full month of deployment!!! A few more months and I will actually be able to count these deployment months down without having to use my toes. Yay! These past two weekends were spent visiting family and enjoying my youngest sister's high school pageant. I also managed to put over 1,500 miles on my vehicle traveling between my home on post and my home back home, but it was well worth it and lots of fun! This is Me.

Hi Everyone!,

Things look a bit different around here right? Well, I wanted to introduce myself a bit more. You read my words on this blog and now you can see me through my blog. Look around, the colors, the flowers, even the swirls and ribbon; all of this is who I am inside and out. These colors are my favorites, I even designed my house around them at one time, and now you get to see them on here. I feel like my blog is really ME now, not just me trying to get my point across, but really me.

Stephanie over at Dirt and Lace was so gracious to work with me and after a few days of what seemed like constant emails back and forth she ended up pulling off this amazing blog makeover for me. I can not thank her enough, this woman is talented and even works when she is sick and can barely get out of bed. I could not believe the work she was doing every time I would pull up my test blog. She has quite a bit of patience and will work with you to get things just perfect, even if it means changing header font around eight or nine times until it is just right. She doesn't want you to just settle and be okay with it, she wants you to love it and she will work with you until it is everything you dreamed up.

300th Post + 2 Missing Teeth

So its my 300th post! In honor of having that many posts on my blog I figured that on this special post I better make it extra special and post something really good on here so....

The oddest part is that the tooth that was loose for the longest was the one to fall out second, it had been loose since last school year. KS did not want him "working" on getting his teeth loose enough to fall out b/c he didn't want him running around for months on end without his bottom teeth and I am so glad that we laid down that rule because once these two bottom teeth fell out we realized that his two adult teeth had already cut. So there were no worries about an extensive toothless grin! Although his toothless grin sure is cute. The Tooth Fairy arrived at our house two nights in a row! Kiale got $1.25 both nights. I am so glad that KS was here to see KJ loose his first tooth, I was so worried that it would fall out after he left, and thankfully they fell out a day after our Nov. 7th photo session!

Its coming...

As September draws to a swift close I find myself have fewer good days and more and more bad days. This month has flow bye... and once October gets here I feel that there will be no going back. Not that I regret our decision to join the military, but it is very hard to know that in just roughly a month and a half I have to say goodbye to my husband for basically a year. Thankfully he will get leave in December for Christmas, and then we will see him again in February. Its just so hard to think that I won't be able to run up to the shop and see him whenever I want to, and I wont be able to kiss him and tell him I love him just because I feel like it... he wont be here to receive it. I know I am a strong woman, but boy am I having some serious doubts right now. I don't know if I can handle this... I feel so sad inside... just miserable... Thankfully in seeing how fast September has gone by I know that our time apart from KS will go by quickly as well. It is just so hard to imagine myself without him for any amount of time, especially voluntarily away from him. Yes, we chose this life, and I know that this is the right decision for us. I know that this is what we should be doing, and I know that this is what God wants for our family. If it wasn't I would not have such a strong feeling of comfort whenever I think about it... but boy is it going to come at a price....

On a lighter note, my year anniversary of blogging is coming up on the 5th of October... I was thinking about having a giveaway to celebrate my 1st blogging birthday. So stay tuned on the 5th to see how to enter.

A second... or third attempt.

Well once again I am going to try my hand a blogging. I enjoy reading so many of my friends blogs and am a loyal and daily follower to several. I have tried several times and have failed at each attempt to continue to keep up with the blogging, although I have no trouble keeping up my MySpace account (go figure!). So here I go again, maybe this time I will find success and be able to keep this blog up and going... and current (there's a novel idea).
