Christmas Eve

Sunday, December 26, 2010

Our Christmas Eve was filled with.....
That is right, cleaning the bathroom with his shades on!
Chilling out on the couch getting in some quality Daddy time.
trashing the kitchen... aka baking Santa some yummy cookies!

concentrating hard on which cookie cutter to use,

Eating LOTS of dough when Mommy isn't looking

Our three crazy munchkins!

Our supervisor
I guess he had to make sure we were making them right.
Casey
Time for Christmas Eve presents!!
Yay for new PJ's!!!

Blog meet Casey, Casey meet blog!
Casey is our newly adopted 6 week old kitten. He is very tiny and very sweet and I will have to admit we have already fallen deeply in love with this little guy! Thankfully him and Emi get along great as you could tell from this picture taken the day we picked him up.

If you were wondering what happened to our Cocker Spaniel Zoe one of the local teacher adopted her. She was not doing as well as we had hoped transitioning from a inside/outside dog to a primarily inside dog. So after discussing it with KS and all the kids we decided to adopt her out and thankfully she was adopted with 24 hours of us sending out an email to Kiale's teacher. She was able to forward it to all of her teacher friends and the rest is history. It was so hard letting her go but I know in the long run this is what was best for her.

Fast Forward

Wednesday, February 24, 2010

So much has changed since graduation on Friday. We have decided to go ahead and move... now. Well really in just a couple of weeks but it might as well be now. So I have been busy cleaning, purging, getting housing setup, and trying to contact transportation to get movers out here in two weeks, but the lady at the transportation office is absolutely no help at all and I cannot figure out the online site to save my life. I am hoping that KS will be able to go by the trans office today and get it all setup. He also has to go by JAG and get a POA made for me since he has yet to do it. I'm taking dogs to the vet today, we decided to keep our Cocker Spaniel Zoe instead our cat. KS didn't want to keep any cats. Which works for me, I was already doubting my decision not to keep her. I will do posts for Family Day and Graduation soon, things here are just CRAZY right now!! I have also been given 4 wonderful blog awards by 4 amazing women and I promise I will get to posting them as soon as possible. I have not forgotten about them!

Peace

Saturday, February 13, 2010

Well, I can finally say I am at peace with the decision on which pets I can keep. I have been agonizing over this decision since way back in August when KS enlisted in the Army. Picking two pets to keep out of 4 cats and 3 dogs is a very hard decision to make. There were so many things I had to take into consideration when making this decision, but I can finally say that the two we are keeping are Emi, our miniature pinscher, and Tipper (Mama) our long haired Calico. These two get along very well and are very CALM, which had a lot to do with my decision. I don't think taking a more active dog, like Zoe, would have been a good idea. No matter how much I wanted to keep her; I can only handle so much. I just knew that keeping her would have been too much for me with all of the moving we are going to be doing. So here are the other 2 family members that belong to A Day in the Life of 5...

Emi (Emily)
She is 4 years old.

&

Tipper (Mama)
She is 5 years old.

Now begins the difficult part, finding homes for our other 3 cats and 2 dogs. All of our cats are mature adults and it is very hard to find homes for adult cats, hopefully we will be able to find them good loving homes soon.

15 Months & 1 Year

Sunday, December 6, 2009

On December 3 Cayleigh-Grace celebrated her 15 month day on in honor of that... Happy belated 15 month day Cayleigh-Grace! You are becoming quite the little lady. You walk around the house with your hand right below your neck and you remind me of a Southern Belle saying " I do declare." You have figured out how to get out of your bath seat all by yourself, this has resulted in you falling in the tub. I guess you haven't figured out just how slippery it is yet. You love your babies more and more each day, and your lovie has gone from you BaBa Lamb and you pink blanket to your "Daddy Bear" and your pink blanket. You only nurse 3-4 times a day now and you are still in size 4 diapers. You have thined out so much and your looks are changing every day. You look like a little girl now and I am afraid that you have outgrown the "baby" and have replaced it with a precious little toddler who has captured all of our hearts. You say "Uh Oh," "Mama," "Dada," "Bubba," and something that is beginning t sound like puppy. You have also begun to say Bye Bye whenever you see a car drive by or someone leaving. You will come to me and drag me all over the house telling me who knows what. I have no clue what you are saying but you seem to be talking in full sentences in a language all your own. You have also tattled on your brothers for the first time, Colin wouldn't give you his cookie. Let me tell you, you told me ALL about it. Colin and I laughed... sorry girl. Thank you for choosing us to be your family Cayleigh-Grace, your presence in our lives has completed us and made us whole. You have beautiful strawberry blond hair that is coming in more and more each day, and I wonder if you will end up being a red head like your Meme was when she was young. I cannot wait until your Daddy gets home and sees just how much you have changed in these short 3 weeks he has been away. You are still wearing size 18 and 24 month clothes and I think you will be in those for quite a while, your growth spurts have seems to slow dramatically, although I know you have gotten taller since your Daddy left.

Our Zoe turned 1 on Dec. 3rd, Happy 1st Birthday Zoe!

Cayleigh-Grace and Jackson

Chips and Dust

Well yesterday was a pretty eventful day, it started with a Field Trip to the potato chip factory that is located about 45min from our house. It was really neat, unfortunately I forgot my camera and Kiale's scanner is broken down with the remodel going on so I cannot scan the pictures that Colin's teacher took for me, but I can say that the kids loved it. We are actually going back in a couple of weeks to take Colin's birthday pictures out there they had tons of antique tractors and other farm equipment so its the perfect setting for his pictures. He loves ANYTHING John Deere or tractors!

After the field trip we headed to Lowe's to pick up a piano hinge and some insulation. I also picked out my lighting fixture for my dinning room, since the current one that we have in there is older than me! (and not in a good way)

Uncle Jimmy also came by and worked on my laundry room, it looks amazing!! He totally blew away my expectations on how it would look. I am still in awe over it!

Here is a current picture of my sweet Zoe, she is getting so big! I will take a picture of Jackson today if I think about it, but for now its off to clean out a closet and pack up Kiale's desk! I have to get my house clean and functional before I go bonkers!!

One more thing, I ordered samples of tile to put up in the kitchen, hopefully I will have them in in the next couple of days and I will show them to you!

January...

Thursday, January 29, 2009

Is it just me or did January go by super fast... where did it go, it seems like we were just having Christmas. That is about the only bad thing about the boys being in school, it makes the time go by so much faster than normal. I really wouldn't mind if time slowed down a bit. In fact I think I would be very happy if it did.

On another note, I got wonderful news today, but you will just have to wait and see what it is!! All I can say is that I am super super excited about something!!! Can you guess what it could be??

Cayleigh-Grace just thought that her Boppy was hers, the only problem is that she forgot to ask Sasha for it first.
