Oktoberfest
Wednesday, October 27, 2010
We celebrated Oktoberfest on Post here a few weekends ago. The kids had so much fun, and I loved seeing how thrilled they were to ride rides for the first time. KS and I had never taken the kids to any sort of fair before; KS does not trust the rides at all and thinks that it is all just a waist of money. I on the other hand love the rides... but I do agree with the money part. We shelled out $20 for tickets and then bought a funnel cake for moi, and a jumbo cotton candy bag for the kiddos... and me. It was so worth every penny, the kids got to ride 3 rides and were able to pig out on the yummy snacks. They had German food, Folk dancing, and German music while we were there as well. Overall a wonderful experience and I cannot wait to go again next year.

She kept trying to find the boys and I but each time KS would point us out to her she wouldn't see us. |
I tried to get Kiale to pose for another picture with me but he refused. |
Their first roller coaster. |
The dad that was riding this with them made sure they had a blast. Their bear was twirling more then any of the others. |

Colin's Swimming Lessons
Tuesday, July 27, 2010
Colin started swimming lessons two weeks ago, I have to admit the first day was TERRIBLE all he did was sit and pout at the edge of the pool with is arms crossed... I was livid. I have to be honest though, he didn't disappoint, he did exactly what I thought he would do. You see Colin is cautious and likes to be in his comfort zone, and swimming without a floaty was far from his comfort zone. Also, there were about 7 kids there for the first day. Thankfully after that fist day the number of kids there gradually began to dwindle down and Colin even had two full sessions where he was the only child there. Anyway back to the beginning, after that first day of swimming lessons and after much threatening and bribing Colin started to relax and participate. With each consecutive day Colin got better and better and so much more comfortable in the water. I couldn't believe it was my Colin some days, to see the difference in him from that first day to the third and fourth day even was amazing. By the end of the first week Colin would jump into the water sans floaty and swim back to the surface, to say I am proud of what he has accomplished in just two weeks of swimming lessons would be an understatement. He can now blow bubbles from his nose, dive underwater to get rings, and he can even swim unassisted under the water for a little bit. Unfortunately all of the other classes are booked, but I told his instructor that if any openings come up to give me a call. I would love for him to get in at least another two weeks before the season ends.

Our Sunday
Monday, May 24, 2010
This is how part of our Sunday was spent, well the afternoon anyway. My husband has always loved anything remote controlled so here he is installing that addiction love... in our kids as well.
Earlier in the day we took the kids out bowling for the first time, it would have been great if a certain 20 month old wasn't a little too excited about rolling the balls down the lanes. She got so cranky when it wasn't her turn. I think we have decided to recruit one of our friends to watch her next time we go, it was just too difficult bowling with her there. Unfortunately we were only able to play one game but it was still loads of fun watching them all play for the first time. In case you were wondering, KS and I tied with 70 points a piece. The only reason we tied was b/c he let Cayleigh-Grace bowl two of his games. I think I need to step up my game some more if we are going to keep this up... The last time we had been bowling we when Kiale was in an infant carrier and we would go with my cousin and her friends. So as you can imagine its been a few years.
The kids have a blast whenever KS pulls out all of his RC gear, I'm not sure who has more fun the kids or Daddy.
(Sorry for the TMI from Kiale, he had had an upset stomach earlier in the day and well... you can figure out the rest.)

Miss Piggy

This is what Miss Grace does, all the time. She has me in constant fits of laughter with all her snorting!! I just love it she has snorted since she was probably 2-3 months old and started laughing, but she does it non stop now!

Bye Bye!

I love this video of Cayleigh-Grace that I took yesterday. I don't even know how many times I have watched it at this point. Babies just amaze me so much, they learn so much in those first few months of life. Isn't her little sweater cute? Its definitely a keeper!
She is eating so good now. She has one jar of 2nd stage baby food for lunch and one jar for dinner. She eats every bite too, and she seems to really be enjoying it. She is actually getting some hair back now, I am so excited!! She still looks bald, but if you rub her head it is so fuzzy.

Cayleigh-Grace's 6 month Checkup
Tuesday, March 17, 2009
Thank you for the wonderful tub seat Toni, she loves it! Everyone should get one of these it makes bath time so much easier with little ones Cayleigh-Grace's age. She loves being able to splash until her little hearts content with now worries about falling over.
She was so exhausted after Colin's birthday party we put her down at around 6:30-7:00 and she didn't wake up until 8ish Sunday morning.
She finally made it all the way out of her room on her own power! She is getting around everywhere now. I just cannot wait until she is actually crawling so she doesn't mess up her clothes from scooting around on her belly.
