Not Me or My Child Monday!

I did not completely forget to announce the winner of my giveaway until Saturday when I was supposed to announce it on Thursday.

I did not realize that there is only about 11 weeks until Christmas and I have about 11 quilts to make and complete for Christmas presents!!

KS and I are not overwhelmed with the amount of cleaning out and purging that is going to have to be done to our garage before he leaves in a month... I just hope we can get it done in time!

I did not bawl my eyes out during the Army Wives season finally and I was not and still am in a funk b/c sad stuff like that just crushes me inside and I do not refuse to ever watch that finale again. I just cannot handle it and it will be added to my list of movies/shows I cannot watch.

We are not going on 33 days until Kiale leaves for basic training... I can handle this right?? I better.

Cayleigh-Grace did not manage to fall and either scratch or bruise her face and head every day this week, I swear she must have known we were getting family pictures done with my family on Sunday.

Cayleigh-Grace is not already living up to being my daughter and she is not just as klutzy as I am.

Kiale and Colin did not have a wonderful week at school and even got to get one of their boxes of toys back again, since they proved that they could keep their room clean. They did not get that box taken away 3 days later b/c they refused to pick it up and put it away!

Kiale did not make it 3 weeks before he broke the chain KS bought him for his birthday, and he does not have to pay with his own money to get it fixed.

Kiale did not get to go and enjoy watching my sisters and their boyfriends at the football game on Friday. Both of my sisters are varsity cheerleaders and their boyfriends are both on the varsity football team.

I did not almost have to get up and perform infant CPR at a Sushi restaurant on Friday because a baby in the booth in front of my cousin and I was choking and they didn't know what to do. Thankfully the baby dislodges the food by herself without outside help. I was not shaking for a good 10 minutes after that incident.

I did not decided to go ahead and re-enroll the boys in private school here next year since we really have no idea when the army will be moving us.

I did not have a really rough week with the boys this week only to have a wonderful peace filled weekend. Now that the full moon has passed hopefully they will start acting better again.

I did not inform KS that once he leaves and starts getting paid I will be buying a dinning room set This way we will actually have enough chairs to sit our family at the dinner table without making the boys sit on their toy box. The only thing I cannot decide on is what color chairs to get. I am leaning towards white, just because they will go with everything, although I do like the mismatched look as well...

I did not catch my daughter just in the nick of time, before she put our TV remote controls in the toilet!

I did not have to stick my hand down the toilet bowl just to make sure Cayleigh-Grace did not drop a wooden block down it, and I did not see the wooden block behind the toilet bowl after digging around in the water for it. Yuck!

We did not find a wonderful home for Jackson a couple of weeks ago, and I did not get a wonderful report from the new owners saying how well he is doing now.

We did not spend a wonderful and relaxing weekend doing absolutely nothing and just enjoying each others company this weekend, and I am not going to miss these wonderful weekends terribly once Kiale leaves for basic training in a month and a half.


Colin did not have to clean his and Kiale's room that they share by himself twice this past week because he refused to help Kiale clean it.

Kiale did not make a goal this weekend to climb every tree in our yard and he did not get eaten up by mosquitoes in the process.

Cayleigh-Grace did not finally say dada again to KS, she has not refrained from saying that for a couple of months now, and KS was not thrilled to hear her say it when he got home last night.

I did not wash my husbands cell phone and fry the computer inside it most likely during the wash cycle in my washing machine. This is in no way my fault as Kiale knows I do not check pockets!! Thankfully we have a spare phone laying around for times like this.

I did not burn two of my fingers making bows so bad that they blistered immediately.

I did not get up early just to order Cayleigh-Grace one of the Baby be Blessed dolls for Christmas. I am not beyond excited to see her open it up at Christmas. It will be personalized and created just for her!


My daughter did not get woken up from her nap by the rain and then proceed to cry every time the rain got harder. I am not worried that she is going to be afraid of the rain now.

Cayleigh-Grace did not go around sporting red toes after I finally painted her toe nails for the first time. I did not have to go back and scrape of the polish that was on her actual toes do to wiggly feet.

Colin did not tell Cayleigh-Grace not to play with the cactus's that are in our yard when we were playing outside yesterday.

Kiale did not learn how to ride his bike minus his training wheels. Kiale and I are not super proud of him for learning and doing such a good job!

I did not have a wonderful girls day out yesterday with both my Mom and my daughter. We did not scarf down Chili's 3 for 20 deal, I highly recommend the quesadilla salad it is wonderful!! And the triple shooter desert... wow!

I did not go and try on at least 10 dresses yesterday only to come home and decide to raid my sister' s closets.

I would not be still at a complete loss as to what to wear for my mother-in-laws wedding in 2 weeks.

I did not just look at my calendar and realize that I wrote my daughter's birthday on the wrong date... I do not know what I was thinking putting the first of September instead of the 3rd of September.

I did not have to remove all toys from my son's bedroom this week due to them refusing to clean their rooms. I then did not go on a total cleaning spree and also take out their changing table/hutch dresser and list it on craigslist (less to move in a year right???) Kiale and I then did not completely rearrange the boy's bedroom last night, and I am not at all happy with the results.

I was not blessed with another blanket order this week, and I am not super excited to get the fabric in and start on it.

I did not start having second thoughts about Kiale joining the Army when I dropped him off at the hotel last night for his physical this morning.

I am not in complete denial about how long Kiale will be leaving us for (40 weeks+) when he joins the army... I would not be the type of person who lives by the "I'll deal with it when it gets here" motto.

I am not extremely proud of my husband for joining the Army today, he is going into active duty.



I did not have to argue with Little Kiale about why he cannot be home-schooled right now, and the have to convince him to go back to his school at the end of this month.

I do not have one child that wants to be home-schooled and one child that wants to attend school, and those two boys would not proceed to argue about where they will be going to school. Thankfully at the end of the day they were both excited to be going back to their school that they attended last year.

My daughter did not finally learn how to walk really well and she is not walking everywhere now. Goodbye sweet baby crawls!!! You will be very missed.

My daughter did not scarf down 2 pieces of cake at my Dad's birthday party. She is not going to be a blast to watch during her birthday party next month. (do you see her cute shoes?!! I bought them before I even found out she was in fact a she in my womb!!)


Little Kiale did not accidentally hit Colin in the eye with a plastic brush which did not result in giving Colin his first (of many I am sure) black eye.

I did not mess up a small baby blanket that was for my Aunt at my decent horrible attempt at binding my first blanket. I did not then just give the blanket to Colin, since he fell in love with them since they were "so so soft."

I did not get the boys new backpacks and lunch boxes even though Big Kiale said they didn't need new ones for school... but I just couldn't let them go to school without "new" backpacks and lunch boxes.

I do not think Cayleigh-Grace will start walking this week, she is cruising ALL around the house... while holding on the something! From the coffee table, to the couch from the couch to the wall, from the wall to our bedroom, to the chest in front of our bed, down my bed, and to the DVD's. All the girl is doing right now is walking, as long as she can hold on to something that is. I am going to have my camera ready!

I did not sneak into Cayleigh-Grace's room when she was quiet totally silent, and I did not discover my Sweet Grace sleeping on her floor. She got her special blanket out of her bed all by herself.


I am not getting really excited about the boys school starting, I cannot believe that I am going to have a Kindergartner and a K-4er.

*As of 9:50 this morning Cayleigh-Grace took her first steps!!! 4 of them to be exact, and she wasn't scared a bit!!*

We did not spend 3 full hours at Chucky Cheese on Friday with the boys and my Mother in law.

I am not having a blast watching my friends 4 month old a few days a week. She is such a sweet and little baby, she only weighs around 12 lbs!

I did not kidnap my 15 year old sister on Friday just so I wouldn't have to go shopping with just the kids and myself. Since I could tell withing 5 minutes of them waking up that it was going to be one of those gloriously peaceful days days from hell and I would need help not going crazy on the boys staying sane throughout our shopping trip.

I did not take pictures of Cayleigh-Grace's first time eating pancakes. It was just too cute, she kept ripping them up into tiny pieces and eating them. I could not believe it when I realized that she ate both of the little pancakes that I made for her. I do not have a little piggy for a daughter.
I did not finally upload the pictures of Kiale wearing Cayleigh-Grace's diapers from my Not Me! Monday post last week.


I did not absolutely melt when Cayleigh-Grace finally said Mama yesterday!!

I did not get super excited when one of my hair bows from my Etsy store, Love and Grace Designs, were featured in a Treasury on Etsy site!!

I did not stare in amazement and then take full advantage of Colin wanting to help me clean on Friday!! He is so sweet to his Mama!!

I did not go all gushy inside when I caught her doing this the other morning when I got her up.

It did not remind me of her biggest brother who also did this until he is 4 and I had to explain to him that kids in K-3 didn't suck on blankets anymore...
My oldest and my youngest do not look anything alike do they!!

I did not use a bathing suit top as a bra to go to the store on Monday. Since my 2 nursing bras were dirty...

I did not let Colin go pee behind a tree at our Doctors pharmacy on Tuesday b/c I was too lazy to take the kids all the way around the building to the bathrooms since we were all outside waiting on our prescriptions to be filled. (Don't worry no one was out side, and you couldn't see him, he was between two cars and a really big tree.)

I did not sit down and plan out ALL of my Christmas presents that I am going to be giving to everyone this year, now all I have to do is make them. The hardest part is over now.

I did not take a picture of my almost 6 year old running around the house in one of his sisters diapers. I totally know what I am going to pull out and show is girlfriend in 10 years! (I will be posting the picture later, since I did not forget and leave my camera in my husbands truck last night, and he did not take it to work this morning.

I did not forget that I was holding my daughter last night and ask my sister if she had already put her in the car. After asking twice and my sister giving me the oddest look I realized that I was still holding Cayleigh-Grace. This is not all my Mom's fault since she gave me NyQuil a couple of hours earlier, and I was not feeling a little "toasty," as I call it, by that time.

I did not forget about about the Father's Day photo shoot that I wanted to do yesterday since I as feeling sick, and got progressively worse as the day went on. I did not remember that I wanted to do the photo shoot after it was dark out and the kids were all tucked into bed and sleeping... oh well. Maybe we can do it next weekend...

I did not end up taking a couple off weeks off from frequent blogging to enjoy all of the wonderful end of the school year celebrations, and to enjoy the beginning of summer with my wonderful family.

I did not get super excited when Cayleigh-Grace finally started to actually crawl on Saturday. That being said the majority of my excitement was not because I no longer have to worry about her ruining her precious clothes, dragging that sweet baby belly across my wood floors. Said floors would never have cat/dog hair and dirt that her big brothers constantly drag inside...

I did not finally get it through to my boys that if they put their toys away as they play they will never have to clean their room because it will always be clean. It has been a very peaceful couple of weeks since they figured out that "Hey, Mom was right after all..."

I did not spend hours on the computer yesterday trying to figure out what type of cloth diapers I should use on Cayleigh-Grace... I have yet to blog about it but she is allergic to her diapers, and she has a horrible rash that will not go away no matter how much Aquaphor/Desitin you put on it, or if it does go away it always comes back. I think I am going to be going with the gDiapers... they are semi disposable and seem to be the easiest ones to work with, any suggestions?

I do not have three posts that I am working on, one for the boys end of the year celebrations, and the two for updates on Cayleigh-Grace's and Colin's doctor appointments... They will get published... eventually.

We did not buzz Kiale's head and give him a Mohawk. I then did not fall in love with his hair like this and decide that it has to stay like this for awhile. It is just too cute not to keep it this way, not to mention he LOVES it... actually I think LOVE is an understatement!

I did not finally get around to taking Cayleigh-Grace's 8 month photo shoot... only two weeks late. (The pictures of her in blue are from the shoot)

I did not have a wonderful time Monday making bows for my sisters to wear during cheerleading with my mom. We did not have wonderful bonding time with Mother, Daughter, and Granddaughter. It was not amazing and I cannot wait to do it again.

I have not been totally putting off taking Colin in for his 4 year old checkup and shots... this has nothing to do with how Kiale and I are against the ridiculous amount of shots that they give children. I am not going to space Colin's shots out throughout the entire summer, so his system does not go into overload with all of immunizations at one time.

I also have not been putting off taking Cayleigh-Grace in to get the remainder of her 6 month shots... maybe I will take them in once school is out... I will not be continuing to space out ALL of Cayleigh-Grace's immunizations as well.

I did not open my own Etsy store that you should not totally go and check out! Love and Grace Designs!

I am not BEYOND excited about my sister volunteering at the Birth Center where I gave birth to Cayleigh-Grace via waterbirth. I am not hoping that this experiance will open her eyes to how much better Birth Center/Midwife births are than hospital births. I would never be EXTREAMLY jealous that she is going to have this amazing experiance. This would not be the same place I am planning on going to Midwifery school at in 3 years... maybe she will decide to become a midwife with me, that would not be beyond awesome!!

I did not end up sewing with my 8 month old for a good 15 minutes earlier this week since she woke up during the night and she did not want to sit with her daddy. I have not been blessed with a complete Momma's girl! That would not thrill me!

I was not thrilled to open up my own Etsy store this week. It is not called Love and Grace Designs, and you should not go HERE and check it out!

I did not order business cards only to realize that them email address I listed on the card is wrong, it reads love&grace when it should read loveandgrace... Thankfully they were only $9 for a hundred and that includes shipping.

I did not have a fabulous time photographing my sister and her long time boyfriend Dylan heading out to their Junior prom. I have not already spent and hour+ editing their pictures, and I do not still have another hour+ to go.

I did not decided that since I really am not three months pregnant that I should really start working out. This way I do not look like I am expecting... which is what I currently look like... darn split abs... I do not still have a fingers width+ separation in my ab muscles that needs to close... Anyone need a running/workout buddy??

Yay! Not Me! Monday has returned!! So now I can share all of the things I didn't do this past week!

On Monday I was not in complete denial about Cayleigh-Grace attempting to pull herself up onto everything in sight and reach in attempt to stand up. I did not instruct her that she was not allowed to stand up until Mommy got her new camera in the mail. I then was not ecstatic when she finally did full pull herself up onto a standing position on Friday only hours after receiving said new camera!
I did not wine and complain the entire week about not having a camera and I did not fuss particularly about not being able to photograph those two new top teeth that Cayleigh-Grace cut. (look at the picture they are there)

I did not thank my husband over, and over, and over again for spending 10hours on the computer trying to find me the "perfect" camera... I did not then act like a brat when I didn't like it right away. I then did not have to make it up to my husband and assure him that I really do love the camera he picked out for me. I did not tell him over and over how much I love and and how much better it is than my previous camera. I am not in awe over this camera since I would have never been able to get shots like this without them being blurry with my previous camera.
I did not forget sunscreen when we went to the Powder Puff football game on Saturday and we all did not get a little "sun kissed" as I call it. I also did not forget a hat for my sweet nearly bald baby (she does have some hair I promise :) !) Thankfully you couldn't even tell we had got a little too much sun by Sunday morning. I am not very proud of my sister Dixie who did an awesome job during Powder Puff, and I am not proud of her boyfriend who was one of the coaches! For those of you who do not know what Powder Puff football is the girls play the football/flag football and the boys do the cheerleading!!
I was not ecstatic when I noticed that my wonderful hydrangeas are fixing to bloom!!
I do not have an overwhelming amount of house work to do today since I refused to do anything other than clean my floors over the weekend. I am not dreading spending the day cleaning...

Oh, and by the way Cayleigh-Grace did not turn 8 months old on Sunday, because that would mean that time is going by way to fast and she is getting so big, but she isn't so its okay.

I did not totally skip out on Not Me Monday! last week since I was not three blogs behind where I wanted to be and I was not feeling totally overwhelmed to get them up before I forgot them.

I was not surprised for some strange reason on Monday when I got home and did not even get a chance to get Cayleigh-Grace out of her car seat before the school called to tell me that Colin had got sick and I needed to come pick him up.

I then did not relish in the fact that I had a day with my two youngest kids alone and without their big brother. Whom I love dearly but its just nice to spend time with them alone too.

I did not go to OP on Tuesday with full intentions of having a nice relaxing day with me, myself, and I (plus Cayleigh-Grace), only to get another call from the school at 10 :30 while I was at Lowe's saying that Kiale was coughing really bad and they were wondering if I wanted to come pick him up. I did not then go on to explain that I was in OP (30-40 in away from said school and home) and could not come pick him up. I would not be totally selfish and just say to give him a cough drop because I would never be dying for some me time to just relax and enjoy our wonderful weather and to do some shopping therapy. I would never do something like that. I then did not feel guilty at the end of my therapy session because I made Kiale stay at school while he was coughing bad.

I did not get ecstatic when I saved $10 on my Swiffer sweep & vac on said therapy session either. One $5 coupon plus a 15% off one item at Babies-R-Us really comes in handy sometimes!! To make a $30 item only $20!!

I then did not go on following Lowe's, and Babies-R-Us to Joanne's only to realize I was in fabric heaven. I did not spend 2 hours looking at all of the different fabric, and finally falling in love with some awesome pear and apple fabric, by Alexander Henry for my kitchen valance. I would not be planning on also using it to embellish some plain kitchen towels or to make hot pot holders with it either.
I would not be totally addicted to fabric, and I would never spend hours during the week gazing at fabric on line dreaming of all the things I could make with it.

I did not wake up on a mission Wednesday morning wanting to make my valance for the kitchen and I did not get it done in an hour and would never totally love it and be so proud of myself for making it!

I was not amazed at Little Kiale on Thursday morning when he told me that he had "bad poo poos" and they came "sliding out" and he had to lay down on the bathroom floor. I really could not believe that he did not wake me up or anything during the night to tell me that he was sick. I then did not keep him from school on Thursday as well as Friday since he was running a fever as well as his upset stomach.

I did not have a WONDERFUL weekend celebrating my sweet Hunter Bug's (Colin's) 4th birthday my baby boy is quickly becoming my big baby boy!

I did not have such a severe migraine on Monday that after picking up the boys from school and making a Dollar General stop for a tote and shower curtain, I did not grab the wrong shower curtain and thought it was a clear one, it was gray, and then when I got out to my car I did not thing that I had locked myself out of my car for the first time ever. I did not look down and pick up the keys that I had attached to my belt loop and think that they were my green house set (they were my pink car set) I then did not ignore KJ when he told me that I had the right keys and proceed to call my husband explain the situation about my migraine and tell him he needed to come unlock my car doors. It did not take me another three minutes to realize that the keys in my hand were in reality my car keys and I was not lock out of my car after all. I then did not have to call my husband and tell him to not worry about coming up to the store since I actually had the correct keys in my hand the entire time... I do not HATE migraines...

I did not take this precious video of Cayleigh-Grace fussing, since I know all to well that this sweet stage will be gone soon, and it will be replaced with annoying whining.

Notice all of the overflowing clothes piles in the back of the video, that is not what 5 days of no washer and dryer look like in my house, and that would not be only 2 of my 5 laundry baskets. All 5 of my baskets would not be overflowing like that... meaning that I would not have at least 6 loads of laundry to do as of Saturday morning...

I did not love finding this sweet girl peaking at me when I went to get her up from her nap yesterday.
I did not spend hours and days backing up all of my photos on my computer onto Snapfish.

I am not paranoid that something will happen to my computer and I will loose all of my pictures.

I am not beyond excited about painting and putting the floors down in the house this week.

I am not slightly dreading putting out fence up today or tomorrow, that is not going to be tons of work.

I was not frustrated when both of my boys came home with bad reports from school this past week.

I was not incredibly saddened when a 19 year old from our town was killed by a freak accident on Tuesday, it did not remind me of when my cousin was killed when we were 16. I did not feel as if I was reliving Chris's death even though I didn't even know this boy. (He was my sister's friend's fiance)

I would never take lots of pictures of a typical Sunday in my house...
I have not gotten a wonderful 4 nights of sleep since my wonderful 5 month old is not finally sleeping 12 hours a night without waking! In her own bed in her room.

I did not let Big Kiale give Cayleigh-Grace a peppermint stick Sunday just to see what she would do with it.
She did not like it at all!
