Boy is this weekend going to be busy for our household. We have a double birthday party at 2:00, then we are probably heading to Jax after that for the remainder of the afternoon, so needless to say we are going to have a very late night. I am just trying to relax right now, and then I have to give Emi and Andy their baths. They smell like dogs and that is just not pleasant.
Tomorrow we are going to get up bright and early and headed down south, then we are going to Bass Pro Shops after we get done in Brooksville. I am hoping to be back home by 4 but I am sure it will most likely be around 6. Really hoping for 4 though...
Cayleigh-Grace actually started out the night in her own bed (in her own room) last night. We had a HORRIBLE night Thursday night... lets put it this way we might have gotten 5 hours of sleep Thursday night. Last night was wonderful, she actually slept until 3:00 this morning she then nursed and went right back to sleep. It was so nice, big change from her getting up at Midnight the night before, and then getting up nursing and then wanting to play and talk for an hour or so. Hopefully she will continue to do better, goodness knows her daddy and I need our sleep! Amazingly it really didn't even bother me to have her in her own room, I guess I am finally ready for it now. Its still sad though... I love the newborn baby stage so much I hate to see it go... :(
See you next year January!!
Funny Joke... had to share
Friday, January 30, 2009
I took my dad to the mall the other day to buy some new shoes (he is 92).
We decided to grab a bite at the food court.
I noticed he was watching a teenager sitting next to him.
The teenager had spiked hair in all different colors: green, red, orange, and blue.
My dad kept staring at him.
The teenager would look and find him staring every time.
When the teenager had had enough, he sarcastically asked, 'What's the matter old man, never done anything wild in your life?'
Knowing my Dad, I quickly swallowed my food so that I would not choke on his response, knowing he would have a good one, and in classic style he did not bat an eye in his response.
'Got drunk once, and had sex with a peacock.
I was just wondering if you were my son.'

January...

Is it just me or did January go by super fast... where did it go, it seems like we were just having Christmas. That is about the only bad thing about the boys being in school, it makes the time go by so much faster than normal. I really wouldn't mind if time slowed down a bit. In fact I think I would be very happy if it did.
On another note, I got wonderful news today, but you will just have to wait and see what it is!! All I can say is that I am super super excited about something!!! Can you guess what it could be??
Cayleigh-Grace just thought that her Boppy was hers, the only problem is that she forgot to ask Sasha for it first.

growing up...
Well my little (big) man is growing up. Kiale informed me this morning that he did not want to use sippy cups anymore, he was a big boy and should not have to use them. I figured he would be telling me this pretty soon anyway, but personally I would rather him keep using the sippy cups, not because it keeps him little, but because I do not have to deal with spilled drinks at this point. I do not want to have to deal with the mess that comes along with regular cups... maybe they have big boy looking sippy cups... I will have to look and see.

Here are all of those funny face pictures that I was telling you about a few days ago. I don't know about you but I swear my girls looks have changed so much lately. I know its a lot of pictures, but she is just so darn cute!!
Here is a very interesting article that "Belle" sent me this morning... on "baby food" its about breastfeeding and pumping through the centuries. Its funny how things come full circle, Click here for the article. It is a bit on the long side, but it makes for good reading.
Just so everyone knows ahead of time, the date for Colin's Birthday Party is going to be on the 14th of March at 1:30. Not sure where yet, haven't got that far. Speaking of March, I cannot believe that Kiale and I will have been married for 6, yes that right, 6 years on March 7th!! I am so proud of us, most of the people that got married right around the same time we did have been divorced for quite some time now... its sad really

Waiting on Summer...
Tuesday, January 27, 2009
I cannot wait until summer time gets here, when the kids are out of school, and we leave the van packed to go to the lake all summer long. Summer is such a special care free time for us. It would have to be our favorite time of year, even with the near 100 degree weather. It is just wonderful, to be able to drop everything and just go to the lake on a moments notice.
Since it isn't summer yet, I guess we... well I... will just have to wait a few more months. Put since it is 76ish degree weather, in the middle of January (I love where we live.)I took these pics of the boys today that I figured you would enjoy!
Had to share this picture of Cayleigh-Grace... nothing special right? Well actually it is. I bought the outfit she is wearing over 2 years ago for my "Hope Box." This box was filled with all of the girl stuff I never thought I would be able to use, and here it is 2 years later and I actually have a daughter that gets to wear the outfit that would end up sitting in a box never getting used.

So here is what I am thinking... I think I want to be either a childbirth educator, Doula or both... What do you think?? I have been thinking about this for a while now, and for those of you who know me know that I have always wanted to be in the labor and delivery field... I think I am going to talk to my wonderful midwifes when I go in in a couple of weeks and see what they think.
Not Me! Monday
Welcome to Not Me! Monday! This blog carnival was created by MckMama. You can head over to her blog to read what she and everyone else have not been doing this week.
I did not have a blast Friday at the circus with my kids after being blessed with tickets by an anonymous family.
I am not forever grateful to my husband for all he does for us. He consistently puts us first above all else.
I do not ever worry about what the future will bring, and how decisions that we could potentially make will change the course of our lives forever.
My mind is not constantly spinning with decisions that I know do not need to be made now, but I can not seem to just "set them aside" without constantly thinking about them.
I did not sit Saturday and read blogs most of the day instead of cleaning like I knew I needed to.
I am not hoping that I will be able to get a Cocker Spaniel within the next few weeks.
I am not totally excited about getting our tax refund within the next couple of days and finally putting our, rather large, fence up.
I did not fall in love with this when I saw it...
"If breastfeeding in public disturbs you, please feel free to put a blanket over your head!"
I did not take this picture of little Kiale... he was picking out houses.

A Day at the Circus
Friday, January 23, 2009
Today was a wonderful day. You just cannot beat a day that starts off with a trip to the Ringling Bros and Barnum and Bailey Circus!!! I have not been to the circus since I was very small, and this was the first trip for all three of my kids. It was magnificent, it was a very enjoyable trip. The kids behaved wonderfully. They all listened and acted correctly I didn't even have to fuss at them... we more than about 2 times each. Which for a 5 and almost 4 year old is wonderful.
After the circus we went to BabiesRUs to get Miss Grace diapers, and a new pack of pacifiers. Then we headed over to Taco Bell since it was past 2 O'clock and we were all starving! 7 soft tacos and an order of Cinninom twist later we headed over to ToysRUs since Colin wanted to look at what he wanted for his birthday. Then we concluded our day with a trip to our favorite puppy store. Overall it was a wonderful day and it makes me look forward all the more to spring break and summer break comming.
My favorite thing to do would have to be spending the day with my kids. I just love it, I cannot imagine how people do not just love spending time with their kids. I guess this is why Kiale and I want a large family so bad, our kids are just such a joy and blessing to us. I do not understand people who just cannot stand their kids and who hate to be around them... the concept of that is just so far beyond me...
me +3 & a room full of elephants!!

That's right folks we, the kids and I, are headed to the circus tomorrow!!! How awesome is that!??? We were very blessed for the second time and given tickets by an anonymous family at the school to go on the field trip. This family was also generous enough to bless each of the boys with $20 to be able to get souvenirs while we are there. Then last Friday someone else blessed us with $20 more to use during the circus. The boys and I are so excited. I know we are going to have a wonderful time!!
Current Project: Bows + a Suprise
Wednesday, January 21, 2009
Here is a small snippet of my current project. Hopefully I will finish it this week... I haven't worked on it for quite some time but I really am hoping to finish it today or tomorrow. I will reveal the finished project when it is totally done!
In other news guess who finally slept through the night... Cayleigh-Grace!!! She woke up at 7:30 this morning. It was wonderful, that is the first time in 4.5 months that I have gotten a full nights sleep!!! I took several pictures of her yesterday, she has so many new faces that she just started. I was able to capture a few of them yesterday. I will probably post the pictures later today or tomorrow.
I am also currently into making hair bows, here is our sweet Cayleigh-Grace modeling one that I made the other day. I am going to start making them to sell, so if you are interested please let me know. I will be taking custom orders as well as orders from what I have in stock.
~okay so I have already posted on this twice and now I am fixing to post on this same post a third time but I cannot help it. After I saw the first picture I posted of Cayleigh-Grace (moved it to the bottom) I had to add these two pictures of Kiale and Colin... I just couldn't help myself. I have always loved the "Cabbage Patch Face"both of the boys are right around six months old in these pictures~

11:10am~ I sit here watching the inauguration of president Elect Barack Obama and I am in wonder of the history that I am watching. I am in constant prayer almost, just begging God to keep him and his family safe, and to guide him with all that he has to do. I may not have voted for him, but I do support him 150%.
A close friend of mine will be delivering her son today via C-Section... could you imagine all those sweet babies that will be born today are coming into this world on such an amazing and important day. A day that our country will forever be changed, and a day that so many firsts are coming into play.
11:18am~ look at all of those people!! It is amazing the amount of people that are out there in the freezing cold waiting to see the upcoming president being sworn in. ... I just hope all goes smoothly. It is amazing to see all of the past presidents... so many generations of presidents is a wonderful thing to see.
11:25~ I cannot help but snicker as I see the Grandmother to the soon to be First Daughters... she is in red and purple. I know my Mema is happy... Red Hats support all the way up in the White house. Those girls are so precious, I hope God keeps them firmly in his protective grasp as these years unfold., and these girls grow and mature .
11:30am~ Could you imagine the nervous butterflies that the soon to be First Family could be feeling... I cannot imagine how they must be feeling... talk about nervous excitedness. I love seeing all of the service men, those that have been serving our country there in the line up, saluting all of the past presidents.
11:37~ I cannot wait to get a paper tomorrow.
11:43~ I have goose bumps... may the Lord guide him and comfort him with all that he has to accomplish...
11:53am~ Such a wonderful invocation. Its is so comforting to know that that prayer will truly be heard around the world. Such a wonderful witness!
11:58am~ We have a new Vice-President
12:03pm~ The music is amazing, they are so talented. I do love classical music.
12:04pm~ Here we go, the oath begins...she looks so proud of her husband... its official it is done He is now President Barack Obama.
12:26pm~ He truly is an amazing man, I hope and pray that he can so all that is is hoping to be able to do. I may not agree with some of the things that he wants to accomplish and some of the things he believes in, but his plans are many and his plans are great. I just hope that with the cooperation of congress and the senate he is able to do the things that our country so desperately needs. God bless that man and all he is about to do.
12:38pm~ Interesting benediction...

Welcome to Not Me! Monday! This blog carnival was created by MckMama. You can head over to her blog to read what she and everyone else have not been doing this week.
Boy has it been a fun week...
Last night we decided... well I decided... to move Cayleigh-Grace to her room. I did not upon getting into bed and not being able to see her sleeping next to me tell Kiale to go get her and bring her to bed with us. I have never done that before and I would never do that again...
I did not get teary eyed with her bassinet broken down and the empty spot beside my bed. I would never do that... and I would never think that this could be the last of my children to ever sleep in that bassinet that cradled my sisters and I as well as all three of my children, and I would never break down with that thought in my head...
I did not clean out my room to make room for the playpen so she can once again sleep soundly in our room. I am not a total wimp when it come to moving babies from our room into their room... and I am not planning on keeping Cayleigh-Grace in our room for quite some time.
I also would never be planning on doing extended breastfeeding with Cayleigh-Grace... not me, nope nope nope!
I am not totally excited about filing our taxes tonight $$$$ money yay!!!!
I did not realize this week that I was forgetting that Colin is so much younger than Kiale and that even though we do treat them as twins they are not on the same learning level and that 18months that is between them is really a long time, and it makes a huge difference in their learning abilities.
I did not finally send out all of our Christmas pictures to everyone... only a month late!
I am not in total denial about my baby sister turning 15 this past Saturday, 15!! That does not make me feel really old... and my other sister is not turning 17 in April... that would just be CRAZY!

Issues with #2
Tuesday, January 13, 2009
So we are having a slight issues with Colin. He has been acting out A LOT lately, and it finally hit me today what I think the issue is... Kiale and Cayleigh-Grace get so much attention and he just gets left behind. We do not do this intentionally but it is what has been happening, and unfortunately I have not realized it until today. I really hope that we can fix everything. The last thing I want is for him to have any hard feelings toward his siblings. So in an effort to spend more one on one time with him, he spent the majority of the night in my lap, and in front of my camera lens posing with his Daddy's jacket on. Now that I have noticed the problem, I see just how much he was getting ignored, except for when he was getting in trouble. That makes me feel so horrible, I have always said I didn't want three kids b/c I was afraid of this very thing happening, and here it is. It has happened and I feel so guilty for it. Thankfully I can correct it and make sure that I am including him in everything, and I can make sure that he is getting plenty of one on one attention. It defininaitly explains why our very well behaved child has turned so sour on us...
